Alexander “Sascha” Kolowrat: A New Exhibition in Ferdinand Porsche’s Birthplace

Dear Visitors,

In the premises of Ferdinand Porsche’s Birthplace in Vratislavice nad Nisou, the exhibition “140 years - Alexander Kolowrat and his Austro-Daimler Sascha” is on display from March 27 to October 30. The exposition commemorates the thrilling story of a nobleman from the Kolowrat-Krakowsky family , who became famous as a fearless racer, a capable manager, and a film producer. Alexander “Sascha” Kolowrat significantly contributed to the development of the Laurin & Klement brand and worked closely specifically with Ferdinand Porsche.

The main attraction is their joint racing special, the Austro-Daimler Sascha, on loan from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. The exhibition brings closer the fate of a man who excelled with a clean driving style without accidents and triumphs in the demanding Alpine Run. Discover the story of a legend who launched the career of Marlene Dietrich and whom many also know as portrayed by Josef Hlinomaz from the film Grandpa Automobile.
