Concepts Unmasked
A Historic Hall with a Story
Historic hall with a story
31 Untold Stories of Design and Technology
The newly accessible hall is home to 31 concepts, studies, and prototypes, all united by the ambition to shape the future design and technical direction of the Czech car manufacturer. These unique vehicles, most of them previously unseen, are categorized into several fascinating groups:
- Pioneering concepts: From the 1956 Škoda 976 prototype with front-wheel drive to unrealised variants of the legendary Favorit.
- Design icons: The elegant Škoda Tudor (2002) sports coupé study or the visionary Joyster (2006).
- Forerunners of current models: The Vision S (2016) and Vision X (2018) studies, which stood at the birth of the Kodiaq and Kamiq models.
- Visions of the future: The Modern Solid Small (2023) sculptural model, which prefigured this year’s Škoda Epiq production electric car.
Each exhibit is accompanied by a short description, while further details are available by scanning a QR code.
Part of the Museum Expansion Plan
The opening of the ‘Concepts Unmasked’ depository in March 2026 is the second phase of expanding the Škoda Museum's public displays. Together with the ‘Sleeping Beauties’ hall, they form a separate visitor circuit, which can be explored with a guide and by prior reservation. Together, the two depositories add more than 50 attractive exhibits to the main Škoda Museum exhibition.
