The Historical Development of the L&K / Škoda Car Body
11 November 2022 - 5 may 2023
The second exhibition in the series ‘How Cars have been Built Through the Ages’ presents the changes to the bodywork of countless L&K/Škoda models from 1905 to the present day. The body is much more than just an attractive cover; it represents both the owner and the manufacturer of the car, while protecting the crew and cargo from the cold, heat, dust and the consequences of collisions. In addition to attractive photographs and unique artefacts, the exhibition also features a partially restored Škoda 6R, the Škoda Rapid OHV ‘Highway’, an all-metal construction of the Škoda 1200 and 1201 and a replica of the Škoda 100, one of the first vehicles to undergo crash tests. The section dedicated to the fourth-generation Škoda Octavia will certainly be of interest, too. The exhibition is open to the public from 11 November 2022 to 8 May 2023.
