Prototypes and sports cars

The sports cars and prototypes collection is accessible as part of Škoda Museum admission ticket during regular opening hours. By prior reservation, we also offer guided tours, providing visitors with an unique behind-the-scenes insight into the museum´s collections.

This collection presents the key milestones in the history of Škoda Motorsport. From the circuit-racing specials Škoda Supersport and Škoda 1100 OHC of the 1950s, through racing and rally cars ranging from the 1000 MB to the rear-engined Š 130 LR, and on to the front-wheel-drive Škoda Favorit and Felicia Kit Car, the exhibition traces the evolution of Škoda Motorsport. The modern era is represented by the Octavia WRC and an entire line of Fabia WRC and WRC2 competition cars. Each of these vehicles documents the technical progress and racing ambitions of the Mladá Boleslav-based automaker across different decades.

This collection area is located 150 meters from the main entrance to the Škoda Museum and is not wheelchair accessible.

The exhibits on display change throughout the year, and the exposition is also supplemented by thematic exhibitions.

1975: Škoda 130 RS

Exhibition 18 February 2025 – 27 April 2025

The Škoda 130 RS will celebrate its 50th birthday this year. At the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, the model was one of the most successful racing cars in Europe. In 1977, it won the Monte-Carlo Rally in its category, and in 1981 it won the European Touring Car Championship for Škoda. There are three cars of this model to be found within the Škoda Museum's collection; come and see them in the sports cars and prototypes depository.
